AMDAL/Analisis Mengenai Dampak Lingkungan stands for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), which is a study conducted to evaluate the significant impacts of a business or activity on the environment. An AMDALis carried out before a business plan or activity is implemented, in order to predict its potential effects on the environment, public health, and society. The process aims to ensure that negative impacts are minimized while positive impacts are maximized in every planned project.
Buildings with a total floor area of 10,000 m² or more are required to have an Environmental Impact Assessment (AMDAL).
