Drill Well Permit

The use of groundwater for business purposes requires an official permit known as the Groundwater Utilization Permit (Surat Izin Pengusahaan Air Tanah/ SIPA). Without this permit, companies may face serious penalties, including administrative fines, temporary suspension of business activities, and even civil or criminal sanctions.

Requirements for SIPA Application:

Applicant’s identity
Address of the groundwater well/bore location
Coordinates of the groundwater well/bore point (in decimal degree format)
Planned purpose of groundwater use
Planned groundwater extraction volume (m³/day)
Planned depth of the well/bore
Planned diameter of the well/bore
Statement letter confirming that the well/bore construction and groundwater use have been completed
Statement letter confirming the commitment to construct a recharge/infiltration well and/or a monitoring well
Construction plan drawing of the groundwater well/bore
